Super Bowl XLVI Jan 31st Record Pool & Salute the DJs
INDIANAPOLIS, IN and CHICAGO, IL Jan 21, 2012- In the world of an Indie Artist, it’s not only what you know, but who you know. As far as the music industry, one can definitely say this could be true. The music industry’s way of signing an artist has changed tremendously. Now, it consists of building your infrastructure and networking outside of your parameters. This includes, but not limited to, Marketing and Promotion, Sales and Distribution (Social and Viral) and Social Media Marketing.
As an artist, you have to do more than just studio time and a couple of local showcases to get noticed. You are expected to build relationships with everyone in the industry, especially deejays. The DJ in your town could be the very one to help you break that barrier and get the attention of more than 1,000’s of listeners.
Oliver Jackson, also known as DJ Big O, CEO of TruckerBangin Entertainment has been in the business over 20 years and is aware of how the music business works. He has orchestrated large street teams for local artists like Sy Yung from Atlanta, Ga.
He has built a team of promoters in various markets, Ms. Carmen of PlatinumVoicePR in Chicago, IL and Charlee of CharleeSmiles Promotions in Cincinnati, Oh. to increase Sy’s fan base. As of today, Sy’s number of Midwest fans has increased by 60%. Big O of TruckerBangin Ent knows what it takes to get “the Indie Artist” noticed in all markets.
On January 31, 2012, TruckerBangin ENT LLC and Hip Hop Encounter will be giving all artists in the Indianapolis, and its surrounding areas, an opportunity to be heard at the “1st Annual Super Bowl XLVI Record Pool & Salute the DJs” Event. This event will consists of a panel of judges, DJs, PRs and Artists, to professionally give feedback about music that has been submitted by participating entrants. The “Annual DJ Pool in Indianapolis” Meet and Greet begins at 2 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. and the Showcase and event from 4:30 p.m. until 3:00 a.m.
This will give artists a chance to market and network, perform their songs and receive an evaluation from DJs (Indiana, New York and Atlanta). This is a great opportunity to get your music to different markets or sectors in the music industry. For those that are familiar with the Chi City Record Pool (Chicago), you know this is a good advantage to be heard. The event will be hosted by The Artist formally known as “The Maintenance Man”, Sy Yung.
Sy Yung is a local Artist from Atlanta and he will be performing songs from his latest mix tape, Da Maintenance Man II. Also, there will be a performance by YungTone317 honoring “Goodie Mob”. Admission is $20.00 and Pre-Registration for Artists is 30.00(which will place your song in rotation to be evaluated). This will be in Indianapolis, In. at Club 500 3720 w 16Th St.
Call Big O at 317-701-5285 for more information and registration.
Remember “Exposure to Different Markets” is a part of building your infrastructure!
